I am lucky enough to call Joshua Tree home; for others, this magical slice of the country is a bucket list destination and often a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
There is no better way to bring home a piece of Joshua Tree than doing so with a beautiful collection of portraits.
Some visit Joshua Tree for rest and relaxation, others to propose to the love of their life or to celebrate their love with an elopement or wedding.

Whether it's serious editorial style or a session where we can't stop laughing, we'll capture you in your best light and create beautiful images for you to love and cherish forever!

Design & Vision
The portrait design session is where we get to know each other and dream all of the ways we can bring your vision to life. If you are traveling to Joshua Tree, I will share the important things you need to know, bring, and be aware of to make your stay incredible magical.
About 2-3 weeks after your session, you will receive a finished gallery of the best images. You will be able to browse the gallery, choose your favorites and decide which photos are your favorite to hang on the walls of your home! Digital copies are also an option.

The Final Product
A stunning collection of 100-200 fully finished and retouched portraits will be presented for your final images.
During your reveal, you will work with me to select portraits to be displayed on the walls of your home and showcased in beautiful artisan albums to be cherished for generations to come.
You will be guided every step of the way to select the keepsakes that are right for you! All purchased products include a complimentary high resolution digital file.
I chose to reach out to Mattie because of her beautiful photos online, but I knew that Mattie was the BEST option for our wedding immediately after I chatted with her for the first time on the phone. Not only is Mattie completely genuine and kind, she is also extremely helpful and generous with her time. Mattie was always very easy to reach, she had a very positive attitude when it came to all of our ideas and she provided us with so many tips and recommendations that made our wedding day absolutely perfect!
Me and my husband were in complete "awe" of her creativity, professionalism and charisma during our entire wedding day. I'd also like to mention that our wedding guests could not stop raving about her (especially when she got up early in the morning for a 6am/sunrise ceremony that she pretty much planned for us because we had a last minute venue fail)!
Mattie has a way with making people feel comfortable while taking photos. It felt like we were hanging out with our "friend" all morning. Our photos are priceless and exceeded our expectations! I honestly don't know if I would choose any other photographer for a big life event now that I've worked with Mattie, because she set the bar so high!!

The most beautiful photos were captured during my wedding in Palm Desert by Mattie! I booked her right after I got engaged last May and was so impressed with her customer service and photography skills from the very start. Mattie was very responsive and professional and also recommended reliable vendors for some of our needs. She did our engagement pictures and our wedding. She was such a joy to have around and even acted a second wedding planner on the day of by making sure we had hydration, food and cocktails when needed. She is just the sweetest human and goes above and beyond to make sure important moments are captured. Mattie gets a 10/10 and 5 stars all across the board!

As a long time wedding photographer myself, it was tough trying to find a photographer for some anniversary photos of my wife and I while we were in Joshua Tree. I wanted someone who I felt not only fit our style, but more importantly, was an awesome human to be around. When I came across Mattie’s work I truly felt like she got it. During the shoot Mattie knew exactly where to go, saw the perfect lighting, had great posing ideas, and even gave us the chance to let us get lost in our own weirdness. A great photographer will not try to control everything, but let things play out. Mattie CLEARLY has that skill. We received the final set of images a few days after the shoot and even my wife (who barely lets me photograph her) was blown away at the quality and natural feel of the images. Again, as a long time photographer myself, I am 100% glad we met Mattie and had her do our session. If you’re considering her for your photo session, do it. I can’t recommend her enough.
