I chose to reach out to Mattie because of her beautiful photos online, but I knew that Mattie was the BEST option for our wedding immediately after I chatted with her for the first time on the phone. Not only is Mattie completely genuine and kind, she is also extremely helpful and generous with her time. Mattie was always very easy to reach, she had a very positive attitude when it came to all of our ideas and she provided us with so many tips and recommendations that made our wedding day absolutely perfect!
Me and my husband were in complete "awe" of her creativity, professionalism and charisma during our entire wedding day. I'd also like to mention that our wedding guests could not stop raving about her (especially when she got up early in the morning for a 6am/sunrise ceremony that she pretty much planned for us because we had a last minute venue fail)!
Mattie has a way with making people feel comfortable while taking photos. It felt like we were hanging out with our "friend" all morning. Our photos are priceless and exceeded our expectations! I honestly don't know if I would choose any other photographer for a big life event now that I've worked with Mattie, because she set the bar so high!!

The most beautiful photos were captured during my wedding in Palm Desert by Mattie! I booked her right after I got engaged last May and was so impressed with her customer service and photography skills from the very start. Mattie was very responsive and professional and also recommended reliable vendors for some of our needs. She did our engagement pictures and our wedding. She was such a joy to have around and even acted a second wedding planner on the day of by making sure we had hydration, food and cocktails when needed. She is just the sweetest human and goes above and beyond to make sure important moments are captured. Mattie gets a 10/10 and 5 stars all across the board!

As a long time wedding photographer myself, it was tough trying to find a photographer for some anniversary photos of my wife and I while we were in Joshua Tree. I wanted someone who I felt not only fit our style, but more importantly, was an awesome human to be around. When I came across Mattie’s work I truly felt like she got it. During the shoot Mattie knew exactly where to go, saw the perfect lighting, had great posing ideas, and even gave us the chance to let us get lost in our own weirdness. A great photographer will not try to control everything, but let things play out. Mattie CLEARLY has that skill. We received the final set of images a few days after the shoot and even my wife (who barely lets me photograph her) was blown away at the quality and natural feel of the images. Again, as a long time photographer myself, I am 100% glad we met Mattie and had her do our session. If you’re considering her for your photo session, do it. I can’t recommend her enough.
